Meet the Barber

Travis Maxwell

Born in Collingwood, Travis Maxwell put down roots in Bruce County in the fall of 2008. He was an artist long before he was a barber — the kid forever doodling in the margins of his notebooks grew into someone creating his own work in paint and pencil.

In 2020 that creative streak found a new outlet. What began as cutting hair for friends and family soon became a calling, and the next year Travis enrolled at the London Beauty Academy — studying styling, advanced sculpting theory and the fundamentals of barbering. He stayed on in London afterward, refining his craft behind the chair at a local shop.

Travis is also a partial amputee, having lost part of his left thumb and index finger in a 2017 workplace accident. Rather than hold him back, it has fuelled his determination — he has never let it stand between him and giving every client his very best. Expect a confident blend of traditional and modern technique, and the eye for detail that only a true artist brings.
